About Us
Prime Betting Sites exists because most betting guides are written by people who do not bet. They rewrite the bookmaker’s own marketing, put the biggest sign-up offer at the top, and never mention the things that actually decide whether you stay with a firm or close the account after a fortnight.
This site is the opposite of that. Everything here is written by someone who has an account with the bookmaker in question, has put real money through it, and has waited for the withdrawal like everybody else.
Who runs this site
My name is Danny Graham and I write everything on Prime Betting Sites. I have been betting in the UK since long before apps existed, back when it meant a betting slip and a biro, and I have watched the industry change from the inside as a customer rather than from a press release.
That background matters for one reason. It means I know which of the things bookmakers shout about are genuinely useful and which are noise. A firm advertising two hundred football markets is not telling you anything. A firm that pays a withdrawal into your bank inside two hours, every time, without asking for the same document twice, is telling you a great deal.
What we cover
- UK Gambling Commission licensed bookmakers only. If a firm does not hold a current UKGC licence, it does not appear on this site at any price. There is no exception for a generous commercial offer.
- Betting sites and their apps together. Most people bet on a phone, so an operator with a fast site and a poor app is judged on both.
- Odds and value rather than the size of the welcome offer, because a good price every week is worth more than a one-off bonus.
- Withdrawal speed and the verification process, which is where the majority of complaints in this industry actually come from.
- The terms attached to offers, written out in plain English, including the parts the advert leaves off.
What we will not do
We do not promote unlicensed or offshore bookmakers. Firms operating outside the UKGC may offer better odds and looser limits, and they may pay out perfectly well for years, but if something goes wrong you have no meaningful protection and no ombudsman to go to. That is not a trade worth making, so those firms are not listed here.
We do not publish a bookmaker’s marketing copy as a review. We do not describe a site as excellent because the commercial arrangement is good. And we do not pretend that gambling is a way to make money. It is entertainment that costs money, and any page here that suggested otherwise would be lying to you.
How this site is paid for
Prime Betting Sites earns commission when a reader signs up with a bookmaker through one of our links. That funds the site and it costs you nothing. It also has no bearing on the order of our rankings or the scores we give, and our affiliate disclosure sets out exactly how that works.
The reason we are open about it is simple. If our recommendations tracked our commission rates, you would eventually notice, and the site would be worth nothing to anybody. The commercial model only survives if the advice is honest.
Telling us we are wrong
Offers change, terms change, and bookmakers occasionally change their behaviour for the worse. If you find something on this site that is out of date or simply incorrect, tell us and we will fix it. Our contact page has the address, and corrections from readers who have actually used a firm are the most useful post we get.
